Vendormate Receives 4th Consecutive TOP 40 Innovative Technology Company Distinction

For the fourth year running, Vendormate has been selected as one of the Top 40 Innovative Technology companies in Georgia by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state's leading technology organization.

Vendormate's innovations in 2009 included investing heavily in its next generation platform based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). The flexibility of the architecture means Vendormate is now able to expose its data to business partners using well-defined interfaces. By building a catalog of reusable services, Vendormate has been able to implement and deploy loosely coupled applications in short periods of time.

The interoperability of the SOA design will allow Vendormate to tap into the growing IT/IS investments in healthcare.

"Current healthcare reform activities emphasize efficiency in the patient care chain, that is, electronic health records," said Bill Hayes, Vendormate president. "We predict an expansion in focus to encompass sourcing, vendor information management, and payment efficiencies as well. Our investment in this architecture will let Vendormate tie its existing vendor credentialing service into the greater supply chain."

The TAG Top 40 were chosen based on a number of criteria, including: degree of innovation; scope and financial impact of innovation; likelihood of success; and promotion of Georgia's innovative efforts nationally and internationally.

"Healthcare, itself, is a dynamic and exciting place for a company to be," said Andy Monin, Vendormate CEO. "But add in the vibrant Atlanta technology community, and you couldn't have a more stimulating environment in which to grow a company."

"Our congratulations to Vendormate for making this year's Top 40 list," said Tino Mantella, president of TAG. "Every year the Top 40 competition is one of the highlights of the Georgia Technology Summit, and this year is no exception."
